Tsunami hit the Marina beach on Dec 26, 2004, Boxer Day. Water reached the foot of the lighthouse (picture 5).Sameer sells sea shells by the seashore. We bought two conch shells from Sameer (picture 1) that were already cut and you can blow into it like a horn. Also purchased three pearls of dubious origin. But we only paid $1/pearl - so from one salesman to another - if he bested Blake it was only for $3.00.
