Udaygiri and Chandragiri Caves, Bhubaneswar, March 15-18, 2010

The Udaygiri Caves in Bhubaneswar (Orissa) were started in the first century B.C. by Jain ascetics. The Bagh Gumpha or the Tiger Cave is the cave with the tiger's mouth carved into it (see below). The last photograph of the tree spirit inspired us to buy a stone carving of similar shape.
