Bhopal, MP

The city of Bhopal is generally overlooked as a tourist attraction because of the tragedy that took place 25 years ago. We found Bhopal to be a wonderful place to spend a few days. It has one of the nicest museums that we say, a lot of mosques, and interesting old forts.

We stayed at Jehan Numa Palace Hotel. Considered one of the best in all of MP, it belongs to the Pataudi (Indian cricketer) family. Had a wonderful Italian restaurant - ate there 5 times in 3 days. Even the locks are nice in the hotel.

Also seen here are some pictures of Jama Masjid (Friday Mosque). We had to travel through narrow pedestrian streets lined with vendors to reach this mosque. After a long walk through winding alleys, we came upon the mosque. Most cities have a Jama Masjid where men typically go to pray.
